The Content Grid

The content creation grid is the tool I use to craft ideas for content.

The idea is to facilitate idea generation by limiting your options.

The way it works is super simple:

• Step 1: You randomly select an item from the Angle column
• Step 2: You combine that item with one random item from the Topic column
• Step 3 (Optional): You combine those two items with an item from the Experience column. This column is optional and it’s only meant to add more depth to the topics
• Step 4: You combine that item with one random item from the Structure column
• Step 5: Evaluate the combination and see if it sparks any ideas for you. If not, start over again.

With this grid, you'll be able to generate hundreds of content ideas in minutes!
